A few days ago I cam across an article regarding the percentage of grocery shopping spent online. The article included the chart below.

One of my personal observations about Korea is that living, in the sense of everything except working, is very convenient in Korea.

Korea has archived a marvelous economic miracle following the Korean war. Most of this economic growth has been archived by family owned and controlled conglomerates with close connections to the government. However most of this growth was archived in a state of “catching up” to the developed world. It is this catching up mind set together with the Korean culture that created this modern looking society.

A few days ago the Korea Tourism Organization’s Twitter account released some “stunning pictures” praising the Autumn in Korea. Since they are based in Los Angeles maybe they are not aware of the current weather situation in Korea.

The XeTeX master file for my dissertation at the University of Erlangen is now on Github. I wrote my thesis using XeTeX same as I did for for all of my academic reports. Over the years my personal requirements concerning typesetting and layout increased, so for my thesis it took me considerable efforts to set up the style and format.
